   Asteroid Scientific, a SCADA consulting engineering firm, has a long history of providing systems, products, and service to many industries requiring data acquisition. Refer to our company background.

   While Asteroid Scientific is no longer a full turn-key company capable of providing the design, fabrication, integration, installation, and maintenance of electronic instrumentation and control systems with almost all internal personnel, Asteroid Scientific still retains the background and key personnel to perform engineering services and project management or technical services in those areas. Depending on the size and scope of the project, Asteroid Scientific will contract out certain services under our management or recommend fabrication/installation contractors for those portions of the contract not within our direct capacity.

Technical Support
   Asteroid Scientific provides technical support to various government agencies, institutions, and private firms, including bonding companies, in the field of security surveillance and Supervisory Data Acquisition and Control systems.
   In addition to new systems, many times this support involves older systems that simply require documentation or in some cases the development of a systems approach to updating the present scheme using as much of the existing structure as is economically warranted.
   A registered professional control system engineer on staff will certify the work as may be required.

Fiber Optic Networks
   Asteroid Scientific specializes in tracing-out fiber optic systems that are poorly documented and are experiencing reliability issues. Besides documenting such systems, troubleshooting, repairing/replacing defective passive circuit components for multimode or single-mode circuits, and performing loss budget analysis are all an integral part of the provided technical support. Asteroid Scientific has internationally certified fiber optic technical personnel to oversee the provided support effort.

Red Hill Fuel Complex

   Asteroid Scientific stands in the unique position of having the broadest, most indepth, and most complete historical instrumentation knowledge of projects conducted and installed over the past 35 years at the U.S. Navy's Pearl Harbor Red Hill Fuel Complex as well as the Underground Pump House, piers, and Upper Tank farms.
   This background goes beyond just electronic instrumentation, which includes data networks (fiber-optic as well as hard-wire), in that we also have had a relationship and knowledge of events related to tank modifications, motor operated valves, pumps, and piping.
